Tools to Help Digitalize Your Work
Since Covid came into our lives all of a sudden, we had to minimize human contact. Which led us to use digital tools maybe more than we ever used them. To work, to connect with loved ones, to have a therapy session, to shop, concerts, workout, lectures… Basically, for everything.
Since it seems like we won’t be going back to our lives before-covid any time soon — maybe never. So, we have to find ways to work efficiently without human contact. Therefore, here are some tools that might play a part in this transition and make things less chaotic.

1- Microsoft teams
Remember the times we used to have Skype as a communication tool? There was not much going on in there. But in Teams, you never lost any conversation, you can create channels to update each other internally, you can have calls, you can upload any type of document — including videos. It is a huge information hub to always be connected to your colleagues and find the information you are looking for without pinging your team that much.
2- Harvest
It is a simple yet efficient tool to keep track of a project budget and the working hours of employees. You can see data such as how many hours spent on a task, who spent how much time and how much budget spent and left to spend.
3- Asana
This is a great project management tool where you can work collaboratively on tasks and see what is everyone up to. You can create cards and group them, you can add descriptions, links and images to cards and also comment on them, tag someone on a card, assign cards to each other and many more things!
4- Miro
I met this tool through my studies in FH Joanneum. I am so glad I did! It is the perfect tool to do things where you would normally get together with your colleagues like a brainstorming session. With this online tool, you can work on a board at the same time and see each other’s edits. You can put post-its or select a theme depending on what kind of topic you will be working on.
5- World time buddy
This one is a bit specific but if you are working with international teams, your brain might get tired to calculate which time would work to meet for you, Vietnam and Canada… It is hard to manage a meeting schedule with your own calculations. You can use this tool to simplify this step which seems easy but it is not when you have already so much to do in your hands.
